Born of parents, of lush green grass,
Great Lindsey, resilient is she
As she wades, welcomed by waters
Of a treacherous, but humbling life.
Her songs, both flute and voice,
Carried on the wind, bring awe and wonder.
Healing, almost magical, held within her grasp.
The mender of body, healer of souls,
Remembered is she, and angel of life.
A soft outer shell, within, lies a creature
Of unimaginable fury, tearing to get free.
Treasures of great worth, she protects
With the strength, claimed of a thousand worriers
And fangs laced with fire, dripping with blood.
A kind hearted creature, forced to fight
A world of greed and anger, bearing down
Taking with it, the souls of all she holds dear.
Strong she must hold, heart broken, alone.
